“From Beers to Whiskeys, Tequilas to Gins – Uncover the Secrets Your Preferred Alcoholic Beverage Holds About Who You Are. Are You Classy Like a Wine Lover or Edgy Like a Whiskey Aficionado? Dive into the World of Drink Preferences and Self-Perception.”

There are many beverages, but this article will focus on our alcoholic friends. Let’s take you to class for a bit. Alcoholic drinks contain 2% – 75% alcohol and are either fermented or distilled. Fermented beverages most people are familiar with include beer, wine and cider. Safe, right? These are easy on the pocket and manufactured for the masses (LOL). Distilled drinks, on the other hand, are more refined. They include vodka, gin, rum, tequila, brandy, and whiskey. Even in this categorisation, there is premium liquor.  Only premium drinks qualify for ‘dorime’

If you have witnessed ‘dorime’ at any club or seen people hail that ‘chief’ or ‘chairman’ at any gathering, you know the type of drink you buy affects the public’s perception of you. But beyond what the public thinks, there are characteristics associated with your “go-to” drink of choice. Like it or not, the choice of alcoholic beverage you constantly make is driven by who you are or how you want people to see you.

So, what does your drink preference say about your personality?

Beer

If you’re a beer drinker, you know how to unwind. You are stressed, but you cannot come and kill yourself. You likely don’t have any money to spare, but drowning those worries and uncertainties in a bottle of cheap liquor is essential for sustenance. Or some could say you are stingy. You could buy better quality drinks, but you would not. Why? Because you get more for less and a truckload of added happiness.

Wine/Champagne

Wine drinkers have class. Just classy. Classic. They take life easy and have their lives put together. They are elegant, grand and have expensive taste. Well, there’s nothing more to be said about this category of people.  It is safe to say that classism begins here.

Whiskey

This gives a mysterious, bad-boy vibe. It oozes masculinity. Drinking whiskey says you have a lot of confidence, know what you want and aren’t afraid to show it. Whiskey drinkers are a good mix of the straight and edgy vibe, good with a sprinkle of “dangerous”. They have sex appeal, are calculated and enjoy life’s finer things. A whiskey drinker is likely an old soul with deeply entrenched and strong values. Basically, he is solid.

Vodka

Vodka drinkers are safe and cautious yet versatile and adaptable. They are the connoisseurs of creativity as they give back-to-back variants of cocktails and mocktails that make a mockery of your senses over a few glasses. Like the drinks, they know exactly what they are doing as they slowly integrate and infuse your system till you lose your guard.

Tequila

A tequila drinker is happy. They live in the moment and know how to celebrate. Taking those shots makes you feel like you’re in control of your drink intake and are wiser than the rest, but as we all know, they are knocked out before the night’s end.

Gin

One thing about gin drinkers is that they can hold their liquor. Anyone who prefers gin is likely traditional, as gin is used to represent cultural values. They may give the vibe of being hardcore, but they are all soft inside. When the gin hits the spot, the party has just begun!

Rum

These are the “men dem”. You’re headstrong but warm, friendly and vibrant. You are young at heart, love life and live it to the fullest. You are bold, love a challenge, and always seek your next conquest.
