Tiger Beer Set to Uncage Easter in Enugu with the Phyno Experience

Enugu is about to roar. On Sunday, April 5, Tiger Beer will bring one of the biggest Easter concerts in Eastern Nigeria to the International Conference Centre, Enugu, for The Phyno Experience, a headline concert featuring rapper Chibuzor Nelson Azubuike, popularly known as Phyno. The Coal City is expected to be anything but quiet.

The event is the crown jewel of Nigerian Breweries’ Big Fiesta, an ambitious multi-city Easter activation that is designed to reach over 90,000 consumers across 12 locations within the Easter weekend. The platform, officially unveiled at an exclusive media luncheon at the Lagos Marriott Hotel, Ikeja, on Wednesday, March 18, reflects the brewing giant’s strategy of anchoring its brands to major cultural moments across the country.

For Tiger Beer, Enugu is not just a venue, it is a homecoming of sorts. Phyno, who built his identity and fanbase from the Coal City, represents precisely the kind of authentic cultural currency the brand has been chasing since its Nigerian launch in 2018. From the Coal City to global stages, Enugu is where Phyno’s journey began, where his identity was shaped, and where he honed his skills as a proud Igbo rapper at a time when it was far from the industry norm.

“Tiger Beer and Phyno would have uncaged your inner tiger, your most ferocious, powerful self.” — Tiger Beer Nigeria

It is a pairing that needs little explanation. Phyno’s song “Agu,” which translates to “Tiger/Leopard” in English, draws from the famous Igbo saying “One does not argue with the tiger,” making the partnership feel less like a brand deal and more like cultural destiny.

The Enugu concert is not Tiger Beer’s first foray into high-energy activations in the South. On March 15, 2026, the brand brought its street party concept to Port Harcourt, delivering a night of neon body painting, grooming stations, and high-energy DJ sets at Soccer Arena. From Port Harcourt, Tiger Beer also announced a Street Party at Marble Arch Hotel in Awka on the same Easter weekend, April 5, 2026, with free entry, signaling a broader plan to plant its flag firmly across the South East.

The bigger picture here is strategic. Nigerian Breweries’ Marketing Director Sarah Agha described the initiative as rooted in data and cultural insight, noting that Nigeria’s events ecosystem is valued at an estimated ₦5 trillion.

“Our purpose is to brew the joy of true togetherness. Nigerians don’t just celebrate events, they celebrate the opportunity to come together, to connect, to create memories.” — Sarah Agha, Marketing Director, Nigerian Breweries

Tiger Beer’s push into the East also sits within a larger competitive frame. Life Lager Beer is powering a Flavour Live Concert at Enyimba International Stadium in Aba on the same April 5 date, meaning that across the South East, Easter 2026 is shaping up to be a full-scale brand war, and consumers are the clear winners.

As Nigerian Breweries celebrates 80 years of brewing in Nigeria, Big Fiesta reflects the company’s continued commitment to bringing people together through the moments that matter most.

For Enugu and the wider East, The Phyno Experience is the kind of concert that only comes around when a hometown hero and a global brand find the perfect moment to converge. This Easter, that moment is April 5 at the International Conference Centre.
