Nana Antwi Owusu-Ansah has joined The Coca-Cola Company’s EMEA Office of the President as Executive Business Partner, based in Paris. He announced the move on LinkedIn this week, describing it as the result of months of conversations, negotiations and onboarding that followed his first brush with the company nearly eight years ago.
That first connection came at the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, where he served as a Brand Protection Volunteer, helping guard Coca-Cola and other official sponsors against unauthorised vendors. He was studying International Relations and Diplomacy at the time and has called the role his first real look at global corporate business. Coca-Cola reported full-year 2025 net revenue of $47.9 billion, the business Owusu-Ansah now joins in a central operations role.
Between the World Cup and this appointment, he worked across sustainability and partnership roles at Nestlé, General Mills’ Partners in Food Solutions, Pernod Ricard and Cambridge Education Group. At Pernod Ricard, he served as a Global Sustainable Procurement Analyst through 2025, updating supplier codes of conduct to reflect global sustainability regulation. Coca-Cola and Pernod Ricard already share a commercial relationship of their own, having partnered in 2023 to launch a ready-to-drink cocktail built around Absolut vodka and Sprite.
His academic background sits squarely in sustainability work, including a master’s degree in Circular Economy and Sustainable Innovation from Esdes Business School and an executive education programme in global law and sustainability at Oxford’s Smith School of Enterprise and Entrepreneurship. That focus lines up with Coca-Cola’s own packaging commitments, which include making all packaging recyclable and sourcing at least half its plastic from recycled material by 2030, according to Drinkabl.media’s earlier reporting on the company’s sustainability ranking.
He also spent three years as a Fractional People, Partnerships and Sustainability Director at the Foundation for Educational Equity and Development in Accra, and currently runs his own venture, The Hassan Cole & Company, alongside the new Coca-Cola role. Owusu-Ansah described his new brief as helping the Coca-Cola system operate more efficiently and sustainably at scale, without detailing his specific responsibilities within the Office of the President. He closed his announcement with a nod to his roots, writing that he remains “proudly Ghanaian.”
