EABL Names Juliet Museo Brand Manager For Value Spirits

East African Breweries PLC (EABL) has appointed Juliet Museo Brand Manager for Value Spirits, putting her in charge of the Triple Ace and Kane Extra brands within the company’s mainstream spirits portfolio.

Museo announced the appointment on LinkedIn, saying she had been confirmed into the role after two years in EABL’s Graduate Training Programme. She joined the programme in May 2024 following a four-month marketing internship at the Kenya Revenue Authority, where she worked on marketing strategy and consumer behaviour analysis. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Management of Agro Ecosystems and Environment from the University of Nairobi and has completed further training in Environmental Social Safeguards in Development at the Kenya School of Government.

“I’m excited to step into this new chapter and contribute to the growth of the Mainstream Spirits portfolio,” Museo said, adding that she intends to keep learning and building brands that connect with consumers.

Triple Ace and Kane Extra sit in EABL’s value spirits tier, alongside brands such as Chrome Gin and Chrome Vodka. Kane Extra, a brown cane spirit, has been on the market since 2003, while Triple Ace is a 40 percent ABV vodka. Kenya Breweries Limited cut prices across several of these brands in late 2024 to keep the segment affordable as economic pressure weighed on Kenyan consumers.

The appointment lands as EABL’s ownership structure moves through a major transition. Diageo agreed in December 2025 to sell its 65 percent stake in EABL, along with its holding in Kenyan spirits producer UDV Kenya, to Japan’s Asahi Group Holdings for about $2.3 billion. Kenya’s Competition Authority cleared the deal this month, removing one of its largest regulatory hurdles, though a legal challenge from distributor Bia Tosha remains unresolved.

Kenya’s alcohol sector operates under close regulatory watch, a dynamic Drinkabl has covered as authorities weigh proposals affecting where and how brands can be sold and marketed. Museo thanked several colleagues for their mentorship, including Faith Nyambura, Effie Thiong’o, Maureen Osoro and Robert Victor Nsibirwa, among others who supported her move from the graduate programme into brand management (more on beverage industry executives in Drinkabl’s People coverage).

She said she expects the new role to bring greater responsibility and room to grow her career, as she takes over day-to-day brand development and consumer marketing for Triple Ace and Kane Extra.
