Fanta Kenya is taking its Skizia Utamu campaign off screens and into communities, with a branded caravan touring Central Kenya from September 8 to 13.
The Fanta Caravan is stopping in Kiambu, Ndumberi, Kikuyu, Kinoo, Ruaka, Juja, Thika, Kenol, Kabati, Maragua and Murang’a, bringing music, games and product sampling directly to consumers along the route.
Part of a bigger push
The tour sits inside Fanta’s wider #SkiziaUtamu campaign, running in Kenya from September 1 to October 31. Coca-Cola’s official terms invite consumers to post original Fanta videos on Instagram or TikTok using the hashtag and tagging @fantakenya.
The move continues a pattern Fanta Kenya set up in August, when a KES 100 entry ticket turned Uhuru Gardens into a one-day festival built around music, comedy creators and a linked TikTok dance challenge. Then, as now, the low-cost gathering works as a distribution tool wrapped in entertainment, turning an online campaign into a real-world crowd.
Fanta’s Kenyan lineup currently runs Orange, Orange No Sugar, Grape and Pineapple, positioned around fun, friendship and fruit flavour.
Rules built for authenticity
The Skizia Utamu UGC Challenge requires original Reels showing a genuine Fanta sip and reaction. Recycled content and AI-generated or AI-edited footage are barred, keeping entries native to each platform.
Money backs the participation. Fanta has set aside KES 2.5 million in prizes, with individual creators earning between KES 3,000 and KES 20,000 depending on views, and squads eligible for up to KES 200,000 at the top tier.
That prize structure turns the caravan into more than a sampling drive. Every stop becomes a fresh source of content for a campaign already built around visibility and sharing.
A regional habit
Coca-Cola’s Kenyan arm has used mobile activations before, including its Christmas Caravan, which has moved through markets and neighbourhoods pairing product sampling with entertainment. Fanta’s version leans younger, trading festive branding for creator-led energy.

The approach also echoes moves elsewhere on the continent. In Tanzania, Coca-Cola Kwanza recently rolled out a Fanta Berry launch built around its own promotional convoy, tying a new flavour to youth culture and street-level distribution rather than shelf placement alone.
What happens next
For consumers along the September route, Fanta Kenya’s pitch is simple: turn up and post under #SkiziaUtamu. With the wider campaign running through October, the caravan gives Fanta a physical anchor for a push that otherwise lives on phone screens.
