Guinness Nigeria has appointed Omotola Olaleye as Warehouse Manager for its Benin Brewery, strengthening its manufacturing and logistics leadership as beverage producers continue to sharpen warehouse efficiency and supply chain performance.

The brewer announced the appointment on LinkedIn, welcoming Olaleye to the business and describing him as a supply chain professional who will help drive operational efficiency and support the company’s growth ambitions.

Olaleye joins Guinness Nigeria after more than four years at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc, where he managed the company’s regional distribution centre network across Nigeria. His responsibilities included overseeing warehouse operations, distribution performance and customer service across multiple locations.

Before joining Flour Mills, he held warehouse and customer service leadership roles at Henkel Nigeria. Earlier in his career, he spent more than five years at Procter & Gamble, leading warehouse, inventory and outbound logistics operations. Across those roles, he worked on inventory accuracy, warehouse optimisation and distribution efficiency in large FMCG supply chains.

The appointment reinforces the growing importance of warehouse leadership within Nigeria’s beverage industry. Manufacturers are placing greater emphasis on inventory visibility, faster order fulfilment and cost control as rising logistics costs and increasingly complex distribution networks place additional pressure on operational performance.

For Guinness Nigeria, the Benin Brewery plays a key role in supporting production and product distribution. Effective warehouse management at the site influences inventory availability, customer service levels and the movement of finished goods through the company’s distribution network.

Olaleye’s appointment follows a broader industry trend of strengthening operational leadership as beverage companies invest in supply chain resilience and execution. As manufacturers pursue productivity gains without compromising service levels, warehouse operations are becoming a more strategic function within the business.
