Austine & Partners adds Dorathy Bachor to Voitis campaign

Austine & Partners International Ltd has appointed Nigerian entertainer Dorathy Bachor to support the marketing of Voitis Single Malt Whisky, adding a second celebrity personality to the brand’s ambassador campaign. The appointment, announced on 3 November 2026, follows comedian Funny Bone’s unveiling as Voitis’ lead brand personality in September.

The development extends a marketing strategy around a whisky that entered the Nigerian market in 2023. Rather than introducing a new product, the company is expanding the number of public personalities associated with Voitis as it seeks to build recognition in Nigeria’s premium spirits segment.

A second face for the brand

Bachor’s role places her alongside Funny Bone, whose appointment as The Voitis Man was formalised at a Lagos event on 4 September 2026. The comedian and actor, whose real name is Stanley Chibunna, was introduced as the central personality behind the brand’s identity, built around composure, confidence and its Smooth by Nature positioning.

The addition gives Austine & Partners two entertainers with different audience profiles. Bachor gained national recognition as the runner-up in Big Brother Naija Season 5 in 2020, while Funny Bone has an established presence in comedy and film. The company is combining entertainment audiences to widen the whisky’s visibility beyond conventional spirits marketing.

Building a premium identity

Voitis entered Nigeria in 2023 as part of Austine & Partners’ expansion into premium wines and spirits. The company describes the product as a single malt made from malted barley and matured in oak casks. Its positioning places it in a segment where brand identity, product provenance and consumer experience are important elements of competition.

The company’s wider distribution ambitions are also relevant. Its current brand portfolio describes Voitis as distributed through a network across Nigeria, with a growing presence in West Africa. However, Austine & Partners has not disclosed the whisky’s sales volumes, market share, retail pricing or distribution coverage. The available information therefore does not establish how far its premium positioning has translated into commercial performance.

Campaign moves beyond endorsements

Over the coming months, Bachor and Funny Bone are expected to feature in digital campaigns, exclusive experiences and consumer events across Nigeria. The programme gives the company several channels through which to introduce the product, maintain visibility and encourage direct engagement with prospective customers. Financial terms of Bachor’s association have not been disclosed.

The commercial test will be whether the expanded celebrity presence translates into stronger retail demand and repeat purchases. With two personalities now attached to the brand, distribution availability, pricing and consumer response will provide more useful measures of progress than campaign visibility alone. Austine & Partners has not published targets for the partnership or a timetable for measuring its sales impact.
