Rite Foods Limited has climbed to 17th position in the 2026 Top 50 Brands Nigeria Ranking, moving five places above its 2025 position and entering the country’s top 20 brands for the first time. The result was announced following the Brand Nigeria Leadership Forum and Awards held in Lagos on 30 October 2026, where the manufacturer recorded a brand strength score of 58.0 per cent.
The improvement extends a five-year rise for the Nigerian-owned food and beverage manufacturer, whose ranking has moved from 50th in 2021 to 17th in 2026. Its latest score represents a reported 5 per cent year-on-year increase, although the organisers have not published a breakdown showing how much came from consumer recall, sentiment or digital engagement.
A sustained climb
Rite Foods’ progression has been consistent. It moved from 50th position in 2021 to 44th in 2022, made a 14-place jump to 30th in 2023, then advanced to 27th in 2024 and 22nd in 2025. The latest result represents a 33-place improvement since its first appearance, correcting the distinction between its overall movement and its 27-place rise since 2022.
The assessment is conducted by TOP 50 BRANDS NIGERIA using its proprietary Brand Strength Measurement framework. It combines unaided consumer recall with sentiment analysis, online engagement, trust, leadership, relevance and societal connection. This makes the ranking a measure of consumer perception rather than a league table of revenue, profitability or market share. Rite Foods’ position therefore indicates growing brand recognition, but does not establish that its products have gained corresponding sales volume or shelf share.

Portfolio expansion adds momentum
The ranking arrives during an active period of product development for Rite Foods. Its beverage portfolio includes Bigi carbonated soft drinks, with 13 variants, Fearless Energy Drink, Sosa Fruit Drink and Bigi Premium Drinking Water. The company has also entered the malt category with LIDA Malt Classic, introduced to media representatives during a product immersion programme at its Ososa manufacturing facility in Ogun State on 15 October.
The addition places Rite Foods in another established beverage category, where it will compete for consumer attention and distribution alongside established manufacturers. Its wider portfolio also includes Rite Spicy Beef, Bigi Beef and Bigi Flex sausages. The breadth of its product offering gives the company multiple consumer categories through which to build recognition, although the contribution of individual brands to the latest ranking has not been disclosed.
Recognition meets commercial reality
Rite Foods is also investing in manufacturing efficiency and sustainability. Its 2025 sustainability reporting recorded a 27 per cent reduction in solid waste generated per litre of beverage produced, from 10.6 grams to 7.71 grams, alongside a reported waste recovery rate of 97.44 per cent. The company has set 2030 as its target for eliminating operational waste sent to landfill.
Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer Seleem Adegunwa attributed the ranking improvement to investments in quality, technology and product development, while acknowledging employees, consumers and business partners. However, Rite Foods remains privately held, and publicly available financial information does not provide sufficient figures to measure the commercial return on these investments. Revenue growth, category market share and distribution expansion will offer a clearer test of whether its rising brand strength is translating into business performance.
